Résumé de la thèse

There are social dynamics at play each time astrology is consumed. Astrology is a social phenomenon that has an enormous effect on individual self-identification, discursive/narrative frameworks, and lived experiences. Its increased popularity is likely connected to the shift from nation-state to global-market regimes. My research anthropologically investigates astrology's consumption. The primary aims are to fill a wide gap in the scholarship, provide an exemplar of the relationship between consumption, religion, and media, and be a solid foundation for future research.
